Infants
Little ones are covered for an eye check-up every year. Even if there aren’t any apparent eye health issues or vision problems, it is recommended that every baby has their first eye exam between 6 months to 9 months of age. We will check for any far-sightedness, near-sightedness, astigmatism, eye movement/ eye alignment issues, and ocular health disease.

Kids up to 19 yrs
Kids are covered for a full comprehensive eye exam every 12 months. It is important that children have their eyes checked frequently since reduced vision can affect eye development, reading comprehension, learning at school, and focus/attention with tasks.
-
Adults 20 - 64 yrs
Adults in this age group are covered for a full comprehensive exam every 12 months if an eligible medical condition is present. Individuals without an eligible condition may apply their insurance or benefits towards an eye exam every 1-2 years.
